Course Overview & Highlights

Duration: 5.5 Years (4.5 Years of Academic Study + 1 Year of Compulsory Rotating Medical Internship)
Regulatory Body: National Medical Commission (NMC), India
Primary Admission Test: NEET-UG (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test)
Course Structure: Split into 4 distinct Professional phases covering Pre-Clinical, Para-Clinical, and intensive Clinical medical subjects.

Eligibility Criteria for India

Age Limit: The student must be at least 17 years old by December 31st of the year they take admission.
Academic Qualification: Must have completed 10+2 (or equivalent high school schooling) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as core subjects.
Minimum Passing Marks: A minimum aggregate score of 50% in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) is mandatory for General category students, 40% for SC/ST/OBC students, and 45% for General-PWD candidates.

Counseling & Seat Quotas

Admissions are handled entirely through online counseling windows based on the student's NEET All India Rank (AIR):

All India Quota (AIQ) – 15%: Conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). This allows students from any state to claim a seat in premier government colleges nationwide.
State Quota – 85%: Managed by the respective state’s medical counseling authorities, reserved strictly for domiciled students of that specific state.
Deemed & Private Universities: 100% of these seats are opened up for national counseling, either handled collectively by the MCC or through "open state" reservation channels.

Minimum Qualification: Passed 10+2 / Higher Secondary from a recognised board.
Stream: Any stream (Science / Commerce / Arts) with Mathematics or Computer Science preferred.
Minimum Aggregate Marks: 50% aggregate marks in qualifying examination (relaxation as per category norms).
Age Limit: Minimum 17 years at the time of admission. Upper age limit as per institute rules.
Additional Requirements: No active backlogs at the time of admission. Candidates may be required to appear for college-level counselling or aptitude test.
